Robert has a Bachelor of Arts degree, Honours Philosophy (McGill), a Diploma in Building Technology (BCIT), and a Master of Architecture degree (UBC). At BCIT he won the Architectural Institute of British Columbia Medal as top graduate. He then went on to receive the first UBC Graduate Fellowship ever awarded to a student of that program and upon Graduation won the Royal Canadian Institute of Architects Honour Medal and The American Institute of Architects Henry Adam’s Gold Medal (highest student award in North America). After graduating he worked for Weryk Dare Designs and for Busby + Associates Architects on a wide range of projects before co-founding gronlund dare partnership. With Robert's diverse background and experience, he offers a high level of expertise in a multitude of aspects of building production from technical to theoretical.
